Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American actress, model, writer and activist for animal rights. Her work has received acclaim for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). Growing up in an artistic family in New York she wished to work in the field of art. In the beginning, she worked as a assistant in photography. Then, her career shifted towards modeling and directing. The first two films she appeared in she received recognition as a winner of the Golden Globe Award as Most Popular Young Actress. MacGraw's feature film Love Story was an international success, earning the actress an Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. She was named the best box office star in the globe after just three movies. The handprints of her signature, as well as footprints were made in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Additionally, to The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television miniseries The Winds of War. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
