Zoe-perry

Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Her first television roles were two appearances as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on The ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mom. Her parents, however, were not keen to let her pursue acting until she became an adult fearing the effect of stress. Perry shy and shy for acting in school, began performing in theater classes at Northwestern University because she wanted to meet new people. Perry went on to New York, where she was offered small roles in shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Home sickiness brought Perry home to California, where theater jobs were readily available. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom on Broadway in 2013 Perry was in the show with the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes of The Family, an ABC thriller The Family in 2016. In 2017, she starred in a recurring role on the ABC political thriller Scandal which starred her father. In the same year, the actress was selected to play the younger character of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) on Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again playing a young character of her mom's role. The character was assigned to her through audition, despite the fact that she is a relative with the character.
