Selena Gomez - an international actress and performer - is a household name. The Disney film Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the biggest projects in which she participated and which has had the highest popularity, is her work. Her full name is Selena Marie Gomez. She was born on 22nd July, 1992 in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez were her parents. Selena's mother was just 16 at the time Selena was born. In the age of nine years old, Selena landed her very first gig on stage by being cast as Gianna by Barney and her Friends. The role was to be one of the kids who played with the world's best-known human-like dinosaur in the form of a purple. Selena was a part of numerous episodes from seasons 7 and 8 from 2001 - 2003.
