Hayley Orrantia is an American actor, singer, and songwriter. One of her most well-known roles can be Erica Goldberg who stars in "The Goldbergs," an American comedy show. She is, however, an avid music fan. She says that music is always been her primary passion. The first time she began to study professional music when she was 12. The singer-songwriter began writing songs at 13 and was only 14 when she released her debut album of covers songs. From that moment on she's not ever looked back. Orrantia is a native of the USA however she has Hispanic roots. Even though she spoke only English growing up and had not been to Mexico Orrantia feels extremely proud of her Hispanic background. She hopes to protect it by creating Spanish songs and taking classes in the Spanish language. The most famous of these songs is "Hasta Verte," which was recorded by her in Spanish. Orrantia was selected to audition for The X Factor's first season during the summer of 2011. The Orrantia's YouTube video was selected and she was awarded four "yeses" which is a vote for the judges during the Seattle audition. The first time she auditioned, she was solo but in "Hollywood Week" she was placed together with three female singers in a trio for remaining auditions. They were eliminated from the show during the fifth live week.
